The overall goal of the Ecosystem Management and Conservation Biology (EMCB) cluster is to promote the conservation of
biodiversity in British Columbia ecosystems by using the principles of ecosystem management and conservation biology. The
program strives to maintain healthy ecosystems and species populations within their historic ranges, at appropriate temporal
and spatial scales, to achieve a long-term sustainable balance between society and the natural world.
