Mountain Pine Beetle - Improved access to information

Project Abstract:
Activities under this project are designed to increase access to and awareness of current scientific, experiential and indigenous knowledge relating to mountain pine beetle and will help natural resource managers and other adapt to the social, economic and environmental impacts of the mountain pine beetle epidemic. This will be accomplished through LINK articles, maintenance of a bark beetle website, a mountain pine beetle bibliographic warehouse, and an events catalogue. Some of the activities will also increase the knowledge of natural resource managers on issues relating to the management of forest stands infested with mountain pine beetle. This will be accomplished through a series of JEM extension notes.
